Radiation Dose Model - WMO PRODUCT PORTAL
KMA Radiation Dose Model(KREAM) Product Description:
A cosmic radiation prediction model KREAM is based on the GEANT4 particle transport model and real-time atmosphere model of NRLMSIS00. KREAM can consider not only GCR(Galactic Cosmic Ray) coming from distant galaxies but also SEP(Solar Energetic Proton) that comes from the sun.

Target Users: Flight crew flying over the Arctic.
Cadence: Hourly Data Source: Radiation Dose value from run in KREAM.
KMA Radiation Dose Model(CARI-6M)
Product Description:
Now NMSC is operating CARI-6M provided by FAA to monitor the polar route's cosmic radiation. This model can also monitor local radiation over Asia-Oceania regions.



Target Users: Flight crew flying over the Arctic.
Cadence: Daily Data Source: Radiation Dose value from run in CARI-6M.
Feature of radiation dose models

KREAM(Korean Radiation Exposure Assessment Model for aviation route dose)
While all of the other cosmic radiation models take into account only GCR(Galatic Cosmic Ray)
coming from distant galaxies ever, KREAM can consider SEP(Solar Energetic Proton) that comes
from the sun.

CARI-6M
Now NMSC is operating CARI-6M provided by FAA. We developed HCP(Heliocentric Potential) prediction model which
can predict 8 months before. (HCP is the only input parameter of CARI-6M.)
